Maintenance Routine - Facilities Expense 6465 Expenditures for repairs and maintenance necessary for the continued operation of an existing campus facility or system, e.g., repairs to the central heating system of a building. Use: Facilities and Campus Services is the primary user of this code.
Participant Support - Other Expense 9099 Certain other costs, borne by the participant to enable an individual's participation in a formal university conference or training project as defined in 2 CFR 200.75. Costs paid by the participant may include training materials or laboratory supplies. Example REU, MARC, RET programs. Excluded from MTDC.
Capital Acq - Gov't Owned Equip Expense 3635 Used when acquiring moveable capital equipment whose title does not belong to Cornell. Will not generate capitalization entries, but will create a capital asset record in CAM.
Employee Ben - Contract College - NonFed Expense 5626 Contract College Non-Federal Grant fringe rate benefit charges. see KFS Labor Distribution Table Labor Benefits Calculation table for fringe rate %
FIN AID-Tuition - Undergraduate Expense 8200 Payment of tuition for CU undergraduate students. Normally paid via the Student Financial System. Excludes payments for non-degree students. Use: undergraduate tuition.
Fees - Mandatory Undergraduate Expense 8220 Payment of mandatory fees for CU undergraduate students. Normally paid via the Student Financial System. Excludes payments for non-degree students. Use: undergraduate mandatory fees.
Interdept -Hosted Events, Conf & Seminar Expense 6386 Interdepartmental expenses associated with presenting a program or event by Cornell. Revenue to other department must also use an interdepartmental object code. Use: Any interdepartmental costs associated with an on campus event including space and refreshments.
Budget - SIP Pool Expense 5490 Budget use only.
Services - Hazardous Materials Removal Expense 6715 Facilities use only. Used for removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, chemicals, etc. by external vendors.
Depreciation - Leasehold Improvements Expense 6309 Allowable decrease in value of property or equipment. Use: Use limited to the Division of Financial Affairs.
Budget - CG Unexpended - DFS Use Only Expense 6925 DFS Use Only- Contract and grant funds that are authorized but unexpended. Provides reporting on how much units/faculty have not spent.
Lease -Copiers & Multi-Function Printers Expense 6215 Lease expenditures for copiers & multi-function printers with a signed lease agreement term of one year or greater. Nonexempt - Administrative Min Rate Expense 5305 Salary for short term, non benefit-eligible general non-exempt staff positions not otherwise categorized. Min fringe rate -- see KFS Labor Distribution Table Labor Benefits Calculation table for fringe rate %.
Interdept - CIT Internal Services Expense 6605 Internal Services charge from CIT Use: Use limited to CIT.
Cost Share - Trsfr of Fds-Communications Expense 9961 Cost Share object code for COMM level. System use only.
Services -Marketing/Advertise FedUnallow Expense 6745 Expenditures for Marketing and Advertising. These services are classified as nonrecoverable according to 2 CFR 200. Use: Marketing and Advertising used to promote events and programs at Cornell. Not to be used for course listing.
Benefits - Employee CU Tuition - Grad Expense 5938 Used to record expenses related to graduate studies under the Tuition Assistance Program. Bursar generated and manual entries. Central use only.
Interdept Maint Prevent - Equipment Expense 6470 Scheduled activities to insure regulatory compliance, or keep equipment operating, or extend the useful life of equipment. Preventive maintenance costs should not be capitalized. Use: Facilities is the primary user of this code.
Budget - CG Frozen Funds Expense 9135 Budget use only. Used to record prior year unobligated balance of a sponsored agreement's account. Spending of this prior year unobligated balance is prohibited until approval is received from the funding agency.
Capital Acq - Vehicles Expense 3640 Used when acquiring vehicles exceeding the capital threshold. Will generate capitalization entries on asset object code. Will result in a capital asset record in CAM.
