The Kuali Financial System is the data of record and transactional management tool for most financial data on the Ithaca campus. Accessible by financial staff across the university, KFS provides for the entry of financial transactions through a variety of task-specific electronic documents (e-docs). KFS's capabilities include robust chart of accounts, self-balancing design, native fund-based accounting, comprehensive reconciliation and flexible workflow.
Data from the Kuali Financial System (KFS) is extracted each business night, transformed into report-enabling dimensional models, and loaded into the Kuali Data Warehouse (KDW). Financial Information Services maintains a number of preformated reports through Cornell’s centrally supported, web-based business intelligence system, OBIEE.
We provide support for users of financial systems through online guidance, training, one-on-one consulting, and responding to user questions. Any system problems or service outages should be reported to us (Financial Information Services), and we will work with technical staff for a resolution. We are also interested in your ideas for how to enhance the systems to increase efficiency, improve consistency, or reduce redundancy. Instructions for contacting us are availalbe on our Get Help page.
