The Associate Vice President and University Controller is responsible for maintaining adequate records of assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and other financial transactions of the university; for establishing and maintaining effective internal control procedures; and for preparing all necessary financial reports of an accounting nature.

Departments reporting to the University Controller include University Accounting, University Payroll and Tax, Financial Information Services, Financial Research Administration (Sponsored Financial Services, and Cost Analysis and Capital Assets), Financial Operations, Procurement and Payment Services, and Communications.
