6.9 Blood Donation Leave

6.4 Prohibited Bias, Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual and Related Misconduct

Cornell University is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning, living, and working environment for its students, faculty, and staff and does not discriminate on the basis of protected status, including sex, in the education programs and activities it operates.

6.9 Blood Donation Leave

The university provides reasonable time away from work for employees who wish to donate blood.

6.9 Catastrophic Leave Donation

Cornell University provides catastrophic leave donation to assist eligible staff members who have experienced a catastrophic, health-related event and have exhausted all accruals, with the exception of up to five days of vacation, which he/she may elect to save.

6.9 Health and Personal Leave for Staff

Cornell University provides paid health and personal leave to eligible staff members for a variety of reasons. Health and personal leave must be approved and recorded in a manner that protects the interests of both the institution and its staff members.

6.11.3 Employee Discipline (Excluding Academic and Bargaining Unit Staff)

Cornell University may use disciplinary actions to assist supervisors and staff members in resolving unsatisfactory job performance, misconduct, or behavior that violates university policies, procedures, or practices.

6.12 Separations, Voluntary and Involuntary (Including Layoff)

Cornell University administers involuntary and voluntary separations from the university as equitably, humanely, and consistently as possible.
