Email for submitting confirmation emails to Concur changing July 22

Posted: July 12, 2021

The email address for Concur’s plan import feature, plans@concur.com, will change on July 22, 2021, to plans@tripit.com. TripIt is a Concur service that creates an itinerary in TripIt and Concur when you forward reservation confirmation emails (Concur calls these “plans”) to the system.

Don’t worry. If you accidentally send an email to the old address, you will receive a reply email letting you know that you need to use the new address to submit your plans.

For this feature to work for you, you must have connected TripIt Pro to your Concur account. If it’s been a while and you’re unsure whether you activated TripIt Pro, you can quickly check the status in the App Center tab in Concur. Under Connections,  if it says TripIt is connected, you have activated the service. If you haven’t activated TripIt, learn how on the Activating TripIt Pro page.

When TripIt has been activated, the connection shows up in the Concur App Center tab.

What is TripIt Pro?

TripIt Pro is a service all Cornell travelers get for free as part of their Concur account. If you’ve never used TripIt or the plan import feature before, here’s what you need to know:

TripIt Pro helps make travel easier by:

  1. Instantly organizing all your travel plans and creating a comprehensive itinerary for your trips, whether it’s a week-long conference or a weekend away. When you forward your plans to plans@tripit.com, TripIt creates the itinerary for you. Likewise, when you create an itinerary in Concur, it’s reflected in TripIt.
  2. Sending real-time flight alerts and helpful reminders to you during your trip through the TripIt mobile app.
  3. Helping you get your expense reports started. After you create an itinerary in TripIt by forwarding your plans, you will see a note in Concur reminding you about the related expenses.
  4. Reminding you when to leave for the airport, telling you how long airport security wait times are, and helping you find alternate flights.
  5. Plus, so much more! Learn about all TripIt Pro has to offer on the TripIt website.

You can use TripIt for your personal travel, too, by telling TripIt whether it’s a personal or business trip and choosing which trips show up in Concur.
