The University Policy Office announces the issuance of revisions to University Policy 6.4, Prohibited Bias, Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual and Related Misconduct, formerly named “Prohibited Discrimination, Protected-Status Harassment, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Assault and Violence.”
This policy has been revised to make it more accessible to readers, particularly parties and others seeking to utilize procedures and other processes covered by this policy. Toward that end, the three sets of detailed procedures covered by the policy (procedures for students, faculty members, and staff members) are now available online as separate documents. (New procedures for student respondents were put into effect on August 1, 2016.) The policy contains only those general principles and other content that apply to all three sets of procedures, allowing the policy to be relatively brief. The Procedures section of the policy now contains tables to help readers determine which procedures and processes address their specific concerns.
Please familiarize yourself with this policy. Direct questions about this policy to those offices listed in the Contacts section of the policy.
