The University Policy Office announces the issuance of revisions to University Policy 6.4, Prohibited Bias, Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual and Related Misconduct.
This policy has been revised to comply with New York State law on sexual harassment as it relates to the supervisor’s duty to respond to sexual assault and related misconduct in the workplace. In addition, information regarding where to direct questions about or reports of discrimination in participation in intercollegiate athletics under Title IX was simplified, and an outdated and rarely, if ever, used process for investigating such complaints was removed from the policy.
Please familiarize yourself with this policy and direct questions about this policy to your college or unit administrative office, or to Laurie Johnston, senior director of Workforce Policy and Labor Relations.
