Non Capital Retainage Expense Expense 6070 Amount withheld from vendor payment until job is completed. Use: Amount withheld from vendor payment until job is completed.
Subsistence-Program Participant Expense 9094 Non-compensatory payments to support subsistence exp to enable an individual's participation in a univ program. Not to be used for employees or where delivery of service is required. For use only on sponsored awards issued prior to the applicability of 2 CFR 200.
Employee Benefits - Endowed Minimum Rate Expense 5610 Endowed College minimum fringe rate benefit charges. see KFS Labor Distribution Table Labor Benefits Calculation table for fringe rate %
Capital Acq - Leasehold Improvements Expense 3725 Used when acquiring or recording the completion of leasehold improvements that exceed the capital threshold. Will generate capitalization entries on asset object code. Will result in a capital asset record in CAM.
Budget - Veterinary Assistantship Expense 5522 Budjet Use Only. Used to plan salary for Vet Assistantships.
Interdept - Maint Corrective Equip Expense 6486 Unanticipated repair of equipment. Use: Facilities is the primary user of this code.
FIN AID-Health Insurance-Grad Fellowship Expense 8128 Payment of health insurance fees for CU graduate fellows and trainees. Normally paid via the Student Financial System. Excludes payments for professional and non-degree students. Use: graduate fellowship and trainee health insurance fee.
Internal Interest WMC Expense 6924 Monthly interest expense related to WMC internal loans. DFA and WMC use only.
Skilled / Union Expense 5350 Salary for skilled trade and other union employees. Max fringe rate -- see KFS Labor Distribution Table Labor Benefits Calculation table for fringe rate %
Employee Training & Registration Fees Expense 6355 Expenditures for employees to attend external workshops, seminars and other educational activities outside Cornell. Use 6356 for Cornell workshops/training. Use: Use for outside professional development including continuing education, TC3, CPA units, etc. University-sponsored workshops, seminars and other educational activities for employees should be coded 6356.
Services - Federal Unallowable Expense 6740 Expenditures for services that are classified as nonrecoverable according to OMB A-21. Use: Advertising, Alumni services, Printing, etc.
Amortization Expense 6270 Expenditures for principal on loans for capital assets. Use: Use limited to the Division of Financial Affairs.

Services - Royalties Expense 6623 Expenditures for royalty payments Use: Royalty expense is derived from the purchase of an asset, intellectual property or copyrighted materials.
Communication - Postage Expense 6100 Expenditures to the Unites States Postal Service for postage. This does not include shipping charges paid on an invoice or bill, which must be recorded as part of the cost of the item(s) purchased. Use: Stamps, metered postage, etc. NOTE: Postage is not normally directly charged to sponsored awards.
Communication - Shipping Expense 6105 Expenditures for freight, express, and cartage on outgoing correspondence and packages, such as United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx), and DHL. Use: Not to be used for shipping expenses on Capital Assets or cost of goods sold. NOTE: Express charges for correspondence are not normally directly charged to sponsored awards.
