The next DFA Conversations event will take place Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., in G10 Biotechnology Building. This session will feature the staff from the Payroll Office.
Employees can enter their own time edits in Workday for up to six months after the date of the time taken. After six months, a manager or payroll representative must record the edit using the Retro for WDTT Time and Time Off Blocks form.
The IRS is working to develop withholding guidance to implement the tax reform bill signed into law on December 22. We expect Workday to deliver the new guidance and tax tables as soon as they are made available by the IRS.
The Human Resources website provides the latest news, quick-reference guides and how-to videos to help you learn how to enter time worked or time-off requests and perform other tasks.
DFA Conversations is a series of ongoing, monthly gatherings designed to encourage and facilitate information exchange between DFA and its campus partners. Each session of DFA Conversations usually consists of a presentation by a DFA staff member, followed by time for questions and dialogue among all attendees.
These forums serve two purposes: (1) to help members of the university community better understand how DFA supports the university’s mission, and (2) to inform DFA’s teams of the business needs of their customers.
The university will roll out a new time-and-attendance system in January 2018 to replace Kronos – the system currently used by approximately 12,000 non-exempt, bi-weekly staff and student employees to manage time worked and time off.
DFA will be processing a biweekly payroll accrual for seven days, June 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30 that must be accrued as a fiscal year (FY) 2017 expenses.
