Paying Your Bill

The Office of the Bursar offers several payment options:

Electronic payments via Cashnet
Monthly payments with the Cornell Installment Plan
Wire transfers
Check payments by mail
Cash payments are not accepted.
Third-party billing (for sponsored students) and college savings plans

Online

Students and other users/payers may pay the Bursar bill online via their Cashnet account. Payers not enrolled in Cashnet may pay the bursar bill electronically via Cashnet's Payment Without Bill Presentment.

By Mail

We strongly encourage paying your bill on line via Cashnet, not only for the ease and security it offers, but to support Cornell's sustainability efforts.

If you wish to pay by mail, please send your check or money order to the Office of the Bursar, 260 Day Hall, Ithaca, NY 14853-2801. Please include the student's seven-digit student ID on the check or money order, and indicate how much of your payment should be applied to each account (the Bursar and/or CornellCard).

Outside scholarship checks should be mailed to the Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment, Scholarship Division, P.O. Box 752, Ithaca, NY 14851. For more information, see the Financial Aid website.

Full payment of your student bill is due by the date indicated on your statement. You are responsible for paying any amounts not covered by financial aid or outside sources. A late-payment penalty of 1.25% of any past-due balances will be assessed. A past-due balance may result in your student account being placed on financial hold, which restricts future registration and receipt of diplomas and transcripts.
