As new contracts are signed with travel agencies, online booking tools, hotel chains, and car rental companies, they will be added to the portal so that, as you navigate to them, you will be taken directly to pages that will recognize you as a Cornell business traveler. Using the Travel Portal is the best way to ensure that you will receive discounts whenever you are making airfare, hotel, or rental-car arrangements. When you use the Portal, you are also helping Cornell with future negotiations by providing us with aggregated transaction data.
In addition, the agencies in the portal are the only ones who help ensure proper stewardship of Cornell’s assets by offering automatic enrollment in International SOS (for medical or security assistance in the event of an emergency during an international trip); 24/7 travel service; complying with the Fly America Act and accounting requirements for Sponsored Programs; and much more.
You can also use the Travel Portal to help visitors identify lodging close to Cornell’s Ithaca and New York City campuses. See the buttons for “Ithaca Accommodations” and “NYC Accommodations.”
