U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Posts Revised I-9 Form

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has just posted a revised I-9 form with a revision date of August 7, 2009 in the bottom right-hand portion of the form.

• This form is identical in content, it just has a new expiration date of  August 31, 2012.
• As of Monday, August 31, the Office of Student Employment asks that you begin to use this new version dated August 7, 2009. The I-9 links listed within the Help > Supporting Documentation section in HR Online now point to the revised August 7, 2009 version. 
• The announcement from the USCIS stated that employers may use the Form I-9 with the revision date of either August 7, 2009 or February 2, 2009. If you already have existing completed I-9s with a revision date of February 2, 2009, you may still send these to Records Administration.
