All merchant ID (MID) requests must go through the Cash Management Office (CMO).
To request an MID, the unit must...
- Complete a Credit Card Merchant Account Application form and submit it to the CMO
- Complete a Merchant Connect Setup form and submit it to the CMO

Once the unit has submitted the necessary forms, the CMO will...
- Arrange a consultation with the unit to determine the most efficient and secure processing method that meet business needs.
- Order the proper equipment and/or software and send it directly to the unit.
- Assign a chain to the MID, which aids reporting flexibility in Merchant Connect.
- Notify the unit when they receive the following information:
- MID
- Merchant Connect user ID and temporary password
- Chain number
