On Friday, July 24, Kronos web access will be unavailable from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 10:00 p.m. This outage is necessary so that the Kronos application can be moved to new servers hosted at AT&T. Kronos clocks will continue to safely accept punches and hold them for later uploading to time cards. Read more
Kronos is a web-based system that enables employees to easily record their time worked and their time away. Kronos also provides a variety of reporting options for supervisors and payroll representatives, and can be used with time-collection clocks. Kronos has been in use at Cornell since the late 1990s.

Kronos Basic (HTML) is suggested as the preferred option for students and nonexempt staff. It can be used from any computer and it provides streamlined ways to enter time, approve timecards, and view accruals for sick, vacation, etc. time.
Kronos Full (Java) is required for pay reps, and some supervisors may also need or prefer it. It provides the same functionality as Kronos Basic (HTML), plus advanced functions typically needed by pay reps and supervisors, such as correcting timecards from previous pay periods; viewing the audit record of changes; creating ad hoc reports; viewing an employee’s "People" record; and creating or adjusting standard work schedules. Kronos Full (Java) is available to everyone, but it requires a specific computer setup.
