For Pay Reps

The term "pay rep" is used loosely to identify an individual who performs any or all of the following functions within the department:

  • Assigns supervisors to employees who record time using the Kronos time-collection system
  • Performs key administrative functions within the Kronos time-collection system.
  • Picks up and delivers on-demand paychecks to employees
  • Understands earnings codes
  • Understands deduction codes
  • Understands the on-demand and on-cycle check processes
  • Returns uncollected checks to Payroll
  • Corrects vacation and sick leave balances for nonexempt employees
  • Provides employees with information regarding direct deposit enrollment, tax withholding certificates, and Foreign National Questionnaires (FNQ)
