Sign Up for Bursar Direct Deposit

The Bursar’s office is using direct deposit as the primary method for disbursing student refunds and stipends, and students can use the Cornell Nelnet system to add and manage their banking information and receive deposits electronically.

Nelnet will continue to provide the same type of service for refunds that you enjoyed with Net.Pay, with the added convenience of "single sign-on." Single sign-on means that, once your have logged into your Cornell account/Student Center, selecting the Nelnet link under Finances (or wherever it will be located) will automatically log you into the Nelnet site. No additional username or password to remember!

  • Sign in to Nelnet and set up your profile and direct deposit information.

If you are a new student or have not yet signed up:

  • Sign in to Nelnet and set up your profile and direct deposit information.

Notes:

  1. Students will be notified via e-mail when a direct deposit refund or stipend has occurred.
  2. Cornell University will process paper student refund checks only if no banking information has been provided by the student.
Payroll Office Direct Deposit

If you are an employee and you want your salary or hourly wages deposited into your bank account, you may enroll in the Payroll Direct Deposit program.
