The Debt and Plant Accounting departments are under the direction of the University Treasurer. Debt is responsible to obtain external debt financing to fund capital projects and working capital of the university. It also manages the internal loan system that Cornell University units use to apply to borrow money from the university to finance projects or purchase capital equipment.
Plant Accounting is responsible for the processing transactions related to university debt and the funding of capital construction projects, including processing internal loans from the internal loan system.
